What is “Branding”?

Branding is not just a logo

Well Branding is not just a logo. Branding is more than that. Though it is obvious that a company should have an identity. So logo or identity is one of the major elements for a branding. Most of us think that a company branding means to have a nice logo with some other marketing materials (such as, company pad, brochure, ID card, business card etc.) and also have a nice interior in the office.

Branding is basically depends on some strategy:

  • A person or group of peoples’ promises
A company Owner or Founder is the main key element for a branding. It could be a group of people as well.  The person or group must be respectable as a human being, should have enough knowledge about their work, have to be faithful to their client. Their face values will automatically build their company branding.
  • Culture & Environment of the company
Culture and Environment are very important for a company and its’ branding. The owner or the management has to make sure about their good office environment and its’ culture as well. An excellent work environment makes employee happy. It is natural that if your employee is happy then productivity will increase accordingly which is good for a company branding.
  • Trust and Commitment
Trust and Commitment to the client makes a company stable and successful. People get confident about your works, about your products if your commitment is solid.
  • Marketing materials
Finally get in to marketing materials. You can design whatever you want for your marketing. There is no boundary for marketing materials. First of all you will need a logo or identity for your company branding. After that you can design Company Pad, Brochure, ID cards, Business cards, Desktop Calendar, T-shirt, Cap, Docket, and Leaflet etc.

Become an amnesiac

2. Become an amnesiac

Owner of  a startup company can be confused about his/her branding at first. A tricky and simple method they can apply for their branding. They can count themselves as an “Amnesiac” person and ask themselves the following questions to get very basic answers about his/her company branding:

  • Who am I? [ am I owner or employee? ]
  • What am I? [ am I developer or designer or a business person? ]
  • Where am I? [ am I at office or at home? What type of environment I like most for work? ]
  • Who are you? [ Whose are my target audience? ]

I hope I gave a very basic concept of a company branding. Enjoy !
